  • This initiative is made possible in part by the Region III Low Incidence Project with a grant from the Minnesota Department of Education using federal funding, CFDA 84.027A, Special Education– Grants to States.
  • Sponsorship of RID CEUs provided by St. Catherine University CATIE Center. St. Catherine University is an approved RID sponsor for continuing education activities. This program is offered for .7 or 1.4 CEUs in professional studies and assumes some knowledge of the topic.
  • Co-sponsored by the TASK12 Project who facilitated the original development of this module.

This was a module developed for educational interpreters in Arizona, and we'll be testing it out here. It uses a combination of online readings, watching videos, doing activities, and participating in bulletin board discussions. We will also use some online video chats to connect - and potentially may do some face to face meetings for support.

Test Your Computer:

UMD has a web page to test browsers to see if they have appropriate software to participate in online courses. Test your computer by clicking here. You will also need to have a functioning web cam. If you do not have one, they are available for loan from the NESC lending library. Contact Tasha Honkola for more information about this.
